Indian Smartphone maker, Micromax, has today announced the launch of its new budget Smartphone, the Canvas Spark 2 Plus in the country. Micromax has put a price tag of Rs. 3,999 on the said Smartphone. Moreover, Canvas Spark 2 Plus will be exclusively available for purchase via Indian e-commerce giant Snapdeal starting this Friday.
The Smartphone will be available in Metallic Grey, Copper Gold, and Champagne Gold colours.
Micromax had unveiled the Canvas Spark 2 Plus at the Canvas 6 Pro launch last week and had promised the launch of the said phone soon in the market.
Micromax aims to target first-time Smartphone users with the launch of the Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus. The biggest USP of the phone is it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and is also the company’s first Smartphone running the OS.

Our objective is to convert feature phone users into smartphone users, and synthesize technology and affordability in for this device. Through our partnership with Snapdeal for exclusive Spark series, we have very successfully expanded the overall entry smartphone market and created a favourable impact in the e-commerce channel capturing over 11% of the exclusive online market last year.”
Technical Specifications of the Canvas Spark 2 Plus:
Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus sports a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The said phone ships with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage. It also supports expandable storage support via microSD card (up to 32GB). Camera-wise, there is a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. The Smartphone is fuelled by a 2000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the phone include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB.
