Dell has freshened up its popular Windows tablet in terms of processing power. The company on Monday unveiled the latest Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 tablet, the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855. The Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 comes packed with a full-HD display, cellular connectivity support, and Windows 10 operating system out-of-the-box.
The Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 Series tablets are available for purchase on the company’s official website. It is priced at $449 i.e. approximately Rs. 30,300.
It can be recalled that the first edition of Dell Venue 8 Pro was launched back in 2014. The tablet has since undergone several iterations. The latest edition of Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 features an 8-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The previous edition featured an HD display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
The new Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 comes packed with a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 SoC clocked at 1.44GHz (up to 2.24GHz). The tablet is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB as the concerned tablet also supports microSD card. The new Venue 8 Pro runs 64-bit Windows 10 Home or Pro. The Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 also sports a USB Type-C connector and has a Micro-SIM card slot. The Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 5-megapixel rear camera. The Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 also offers support for NFC, Wi-Fi 2×2 802.11ac with Miracast, and Bluetooth 4.0. There’s a 19.5WHr Lithium Ion battery which should effectively fuel the Tablet over a long period of usage time.
